708-09 - ACM

Case IH 708-09 - ACM – ACM: Throttle keypad disconnected while powered on

Issue description

Indicates a loss of CAN bus communication, a loss of voltage/ground, or a physical circuit break between the throttle input keypad and the control module while the machine's key-switch is in the ON position.

  • MAGNUM AFS Connect
  • Case IH Magnum Series (180, 190, 200, 210, 220, 225, 235, 240, 340)
  • Case IH Steiger Series (350 through 600)
  • Case IH Maxxum Series

Check the cause

  1. Use the Electronic Service Tool (EST) to check for active vs. pending codes

  2. Verify the 5-volt reference signals to the armrest components

  3. Inspect the wiring harness connecting the throttle keypad to the ACM for pinout continuity
