Case IH 735-18 - DEC – TCU: Transmission C2 clutch solenoid minimum quick fill calibration time limit exceeded

This fault indicates a failure during the transmission calibration process, specifically involving the fill times and fill volumes for the C2 clutch. When the quick fill calibration time limit is exceeded, it means the system took too long to achieve the required pressure or volume, which typically suggests that the C2 clutch pack is severely worn out or there is excessive internal hydraulic leakage preventing the clutch from filling in the allotted time.

   Dump the hydraulic oil, install two new transmission filters, heat the oil to operating temperature, and attempt to recalibrate the transmission.

   Perform an air pressure leak test by applying air pressure directly to the C2 clutch pressure pipe port. Listen for the clutch piston moving and check for heavily escaping air, which indicates an internal leak.
