The transmission controller has detected an abnormally high voltage in the transmission forward clutch solenoid circuit, typically indicating a short to power or a defective transmission controller. The controller stops outputting to the forward clutch solenoid, flashes a caution lamp, limits engine speed, and restricts travel.

   Use the machine's monitoring mode to check the input state (ON/OFF) of the forward clutch fill switch and the output current to the forward clutch solenoid.

   With the starting switch OFF, disconnect the wiring harness between the transmission controller and the solenoid. Check for a short circuit to a power source (measure voltage to ensure it is not contacting a live circuit).

   Swap the forward clutch solenoid with another clutch solenoid (e.g., reverse or a speed clutch) to see if the fault follows the solenoid or remains with the forward circuit.

   If the electrical circuit tests normal but the tractor hesitates or fails to drive forward, check the transmission hydraulic pressure. If the pressure drops when the forward clutch is commanded (or when cycling the inching pedal), it indicates internal leakage, a cracked forward clutch piston, or worn shuttle shaft bearings.

   Resolve Electrical Shorts

   If the diagnostic tests reveal a short circuit to a power source in the wiring harness, repair or replace the damaged section of the harness.

   Replace the Controller

   If the wiring harness and solenoid are in normal condition but the high voltage fault persists, the transmission controller is defective and must be replaced.

   Mechanical Transmission Repair

   If the electrical fault caused the clutch to slip, or if the clutch plates have welded together due to pressure loss: Tear into the transmission to access the shuttle assembly. Inspect the shuttle shaft bearings and sealing ring sleeves for damage. Replace the forward clutch friction discs, steel plates, and the forward clutch piston if it is cracked or bypassing oil.

   Clear Codes and Calibrate

   After repairs, use the monitor or diagnostic tool to clear the fault codes from the controller and perform a transmission calibration.
