Case IH 7499-12 - DEC – DEC: Electrical failure in the axle lubrication circuit / Bad intelligent device or component

Indicates a critical failure of an intelligent device or component (FMI 12), pointing to either a communication failure on the CAN VB1 data bus or an electrical failure in the axle lubrication circuit.

   Verify communication traffic on the CAN bus VB1 using the Electronic Service Tool (EST) connected to the diagnostic connector.

   Check the unswitched and switched power supplies (B+) and ground (GND) to the DEC and ACM modules.

   Inspect the wiring harness for the axle lubrication circuit for electrical shorts or open circuits.
