Case IH 82 – Transmission ECM / Transmission Controller / Armrest Controller / EHR / Hydraulic Remote Valve Controller / TRANS: Multiple Conditions: Transmission Pressure Switch Short, Differential Lock Solenoid Fault, Valve Spool Not In Neutral, or Creep Clutch Uncalibrated

Depending on the machine model and ECU, this code indicates a transmission hydraulic oil pressure switch short, a differential lock solenoid failed open or short circuit, a valve spool not in neutral when switched on, or a creep clutch that is not calibrated.

   TN Series: Inspect the wiring harness for a circuit short to 12 volts between ECM connector 2, pin 20 and the Transmission Pressure Switch.

   TN Series: Check for a short to 5V across the switch terminals.

   TN Series: Check for a short to 5V or 12V between the Transmission Pressure switch and ECM connector 2, pin 31.

   MX Magnum/TG Series: Inspect the differential lock solenoid connector for corrosion or loose pins.

   MX Magnum/TG Series: Measure the resistance of the solenoid coil to verify it is not internally open or shorted.
