Case IH 9039 – Remote Hydraulics Controller (AUX67 or AUX89): Controller Memory Error -- Loss of mode lever calibration data

The electronic controller managing the auxiliary hydraulic remotes has lost the stored calibration values for the mode lever. Without these calibration values, the controller cannot accurately determine the lever's physical position.

   Check for related potentiometer codes (11011, 11012, 11021, or 11022) indicating the 1st or 2nd remote mode lever potentiometer has failed low or high.

   Inspect wiring and connections between the mode lever assembly in the armrest and the AUX controller for pinched wires, corrosion, or loose pins.

   Test the mode lever potentiometer to verify it provides a smooth, linear resistance change when moved and is not internally shorted or open.

   Verify the AUX controller is receiving stable voltage and has a clean ground connection.

   Enter Calibration Mode

   Connect the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) laptop, or enter the tractor's built-in diagnostic/calibration menu via the armrest instrumentation display.

   Access the AUX Controller

   Navigate to the Remote Hydraulics Controller (AUX67 or AUX89) calibration menu.

   Perform Mode Lever Calibration

   Initiate the mode lever calibration procedure. Move the affected mode lever through its full range of motion (into its detents, maximum forward, maximum rearward, and neutral) so the controller can relearn the minimum, maximum, and neutral potentiometer voltage values.

   Save and Cycle Power

   Save the calibration data and cycle the tractor's key switch off, then back on.

   Verify Operation

   Test the remote hydraulics for proper operation.

   Address Hard Faults

   If the calibration fails to save, or if the 9039 code returns immediately after a key cycle, replace the mode lever assembly (potentiometer). If the lever tests perfectly but the controller continually drops its memory, replace the AUX controller.
