Case IH 9307 – HITCH: Lower Valve calibration value is too low
Issue description
During the automated hitch calibration procedure, the controller detects that the electrical or mechanical threshold required to operate the lower valve falls below the acceptable specification. This typically points to a failing solenoid, a stuck valve, or a wiring issue preventing the valve from operating at the correct voltage/current.

Check the cause
Verify the hitch calibration procedure is being performed under the correct conditions (engine speed must be set above 1600 RPM, and the tractor must not be moving).
Inspect the wiring harness and connectors between the hitch controller and the lower valve solenoid for corrosion, open circuits, or shorts to ground/12V.
Test the lower valve solenoid coil for proper resistance to determine if the coil has failed internally.
Verify that the hitch controller is sending the correct voltage signal to the lower valve driver.
Repair steps
Resolve wiring faults
Resolve any wiring harness faults (shorts or opens) found during the diagnostic inspection.
Remove defective solenoid
If the wiring is intact but the lower valve solenoid is faulty or mechanically stuck, relieve hydraulic pressure and remove the defective lower valve solenoid from the hitch control valve block.
Install replacement solenoid
Install the replacement hitch lower valve solenoid.
Clear fault code
Clear the stored 9307 fault code from the hitch controller's memory.
Re-run calibration
Re-run the complete hitch calibration procedure to ensure the new valve calibrates within the specified range and that the code does not return.
