Case IH 9313 – HITCH (Hitch Controller): Invalid Configuration - Hitch setup for position only due to Armrest configuration

During the hitch calibration process, voltage was detected on the left draft pin circuit (specifically C059 cavity 2). Because the hitch draft control feature is not available or not configured for this specific tractor, the system defaults to a 'position only' hitch setup.

   Verify Tractor Equipment: Confirm whether the tractor is actually equipped with draft pins. If it is not, the system should only be operating in 'position only' mode.

   Check Wiring: Inspect the hitch wiring harness, specifically checking for rogue voltage on C059 cavity 2 (left draft pin). Look for shorts to power or chafed wires.

   Check Controller History: Determine if the armrest controller was recently replaced or recalibrated incorrectly for a draft setup.

   Repair Wiring

   If voltage is found on the draft pin circuit due to a short, repair the wiring harness.

   Recalibrate the System

   Perform the armrest and hitch calibration procedure to overwrite the invalid configuration.

   Bypass the Code During Calibration

   Note that fault code HITCH 9313 will not stop the calibration process.

   Lower Hitch Step

   During calibration, the display will read 'Lower Hitch'. Ensure the engine speed is set to a minimum of 1600 RPM. Press and hold the PROG key to lower the hitch.

   Draft Pin Programming

   If the display reads 'Pins' during the procedure, you must program the correct number of draft pins into the controller (enter zero if the tractor does not have draft control).

   Replace Controllers (If Necessary)

   If the wiring is intact and calibration fails to clear the code, the Hitch Controller or Armrest Controller has failed internally and must be replaced.
