Case IH 9314 – Hitch Controller: Invalid Config - Right Draft Pin voltage is not within spec for 'no load' condition
Issue description
The controller is detecting an out-of-range voltage on the right draft pin circuit (connector C059, cavity 3) when there should be no load applied.
Applies to these machines
11 machines- MX Magnum
- STX Steiger
- MX Magnum series
- TG series
- STX Steiger series
- Puma series
- TG210
- TG230
- TG255
- TG285
- T8000 series
Check the cause
Verify if the tractor is equipped with hitch draft control (position-only hitches should not look for draft pin voltage).
Check the armrest controller calibration to ensure it hasn't been accidentally calibrated for draft mode.
Inspect the wire harness at the right draft pin sensor (connector C059, cavity 3) for damaged wires, shorts to voltage, or corroded connectors.
Repair steps
Harness Repair
If diagnostic checks reveal damaged wiring or a short on the C059 circuit (wiring cause), repair or replace the affected section of the hitch wiring harness.
Recalibrate the Armrest
If the tractor does not have draft control (miscalibration cause), perform the armrest calibration procedure and ensure it is configured strictly for position control.
Replace the Sensor
If the tractor has draft control, wiring tests good, and the pin outputs an out-of-range offset voltage under no load (sensor failure cause), safely support the hitch, remove retaining hardware, and replace the right draft pin sensor.
Perform Hitch Calibration
Perform the Hitch Controller Calibration procedure. Note: Engine speed must typically be set above 1600 RPM during the calibration of the lower valve.
Clear Codes
Cycle the key, clear the stored fault codes, and verify that code 9314 does not return during the 'no load' phase of the calibration.
