Case IH A-G-058 - Display – Autoguidance: Operator Not Seated

The system detects that the operator is not in the seat. The operator must be seated for guidance operation to function safely.

   Ensure the operator is sitting fully and squarely in the seat, as the fault will trigger if the operator's weight is not fully engaging the sensor

   Inspect the seat switch wiring circuit under the seat for an open circuit, damaged wires, or loose connectors

   If the tractor is equipped with an air suspension seat (like a Grammer MSG95G), check the air line fittings connected to the seat switch for blowouts or leaks

   Use a multimeter or service tool to check the seat switch function and verify if the switch has failed in the 'open' position

   Power Down

   Turn off the machine and remove the key to ensure safety while working on the electrical system.

   Access the Switch

   Locate the operator presence switch, which is typically mounted directly under the seat cushion or integrated into the seat suspension base.

   Disconnect Harness

   Unplug the seat switch wire harness. Inspect the pins for corrosion or bent terminals.

   Remove the Switch

   Depending on the seat model, the switch may be a "twist-in" mount, a 2-screw wafer style, or integrated into the air height control valve. Remove the faulty switch.

   Install New Switch

   Secure the replacement switch into the seat base and reconnect the wiring harness (and air lines, if dealing with an air seat switch).

   Test

   Sit in the seat, power on the PRO 1200 display, and verify that the "Operator Not Seated" (A-G-058) fault code has cleared and Autoguidance can be engaged.
