Case IH A-G-185 - Display – Autoguidance System: Cannot engage automatic. Too far from recorded swath.
Issue description
This is an operational error indicating that the vehicle has traveled too far from the original recorded guidance line (swath) for the autosteer to engage.

Check the cause
Check the currently selected field and swath on the AFS display
Verify the vehicle's actual GPS location relative to the selected field
Confirm that the operator is not attempting to engage the autoguidance system while in transit between fields or while assigned to the wrong field profile in the monitor
Repair steps
Do not save new guidance line
Do not attempt to save a new guidance line while the system is actively in this error condition.
Navigate to field selection
Navigate to the field selection menu on the AFS monitor.
Select or create field
Select the correct existing field for your current location, or create a completely new field profile.
Record or select swath
Record a new swath for the field, or select a pre-existing swath that is within the acceptable distance limit (under 5 miles / 8 km) of the vehicle's current GPS coordinates.
Re-engage autoguidance
Once the vehicle is properly aligned with a valid, nearby swath, press the "Auto" button to re-engage the system.
