Case IH A-G-444 - Display – Autoguidance System / Display: Tight Turns in Swath Cannot be Adjusted
Issue description
An Autoguidance swath error indicating that the turns in the recorded swath line are too tight for the system to process because they do not meet the minimum turning radius configured in the system.
Applies to these machines
5 machines- MAGNUM AFS Connect
- STEIGER AFS Connect
- Tractors
- Combines
- Sprayers
Check the cause
Review the currently recorded swath to identify any excessively sharp 'S' or 'J' curves.
Check the current 'Minimum Turning Radius' setting in the display to see if it is set too high for the physical path you are trying to drive.
Repair steps
Navigate to Swath menu
On your PRO 1200 or AFS display, navigate to the 'Swath' menu.
Select Manage tab
Select the 'Manage' tab.
Press Gear button
Press the 'Gear' (Edit) button.
Decrease Minimum Turning Radius
Decrease the value in the 'Minimum Turning Radius' window.
Re-record swath
If decreasing the minimum turning radius does not resolve the issue (or if the turn is physically too tight for the machine to safely navigate), you must re-record the swath. When recording the new line, ensure you make more gradual, wider turns that comply with the machine's turning capabilities.
