Case IH A-G-530 - Display – AFS Display and Navigation Controller: Swath Width Too Low
Issue description
The calculated swath width for the active implement is below the minimum acceptable threshold required by the AutoGuidance system to generate a valid guidance path, often caused by an operator accidentally entering an overlap value that is too large or an application width that is too small.

Check the cause
Navigate to the 'Implement' setup screen on the AFS display and verify the physical width entered for the attached implement.
Check the configured Overlap and Skip settings to ensure a typo hasn't mathematically reduced the swath width to near zero.
Verify the tractor has a valid GPS fix and convergence, as guidance lines cannot be properly generated without accurate positioning data.
Repair steps
Turn on the ignition and allow the AFS Pro display to boot up completely.
Ensure the system is fully powered and booted.
Navigate to the Implement menu (or the 'Work Condition' setup screen, depending on the display generation).
Access the implement configuration settings.
Select the profile for the implement currently attached to the tractor.
Ensure you are editing the correct implement profile.
Locate the Swath Width configuration box.
Note: On the Pro 1200, this box is often read-only because it is a calculated value.
Press the Application Width button and ensure the correct physical width of the implement is entered.
Verify the physical width matches the attached implement.
Press the Overlap or Skip button.
Access the overlap and skip settings.
Correct any erroneous values.
For example, if you have a 40-foot planter, your application width should be 480 inches. If you want a 2-inch overlap, enter 2 inches. The Swath Width should automatically recalculate to 478 inches.
Save the configuration.
Ensure the new settings are stored in the system.
Return to the run screen, clear the active fault, and press the 'Refresh' or 'Create Line' button to generate a new A-B guidance line.
The AutoGuidance system should now engage normally.
