A-G-535 - Display

Case IH A-G-535 - Display – Display: No Swath

Issue description

The system cannot detect a valid swath/guidance line for the current operation.

Applies to these machines

  • MAGNUM AFS Connect
  • STEIGER AFS Connect
  • Magnum 400 AFS Connect

Check the cause

  1. For the 'No Swath' condition (A-G-535): Verify that a valid swath/guidance line has been created and is actively selected in the AFS display menu.

  2. For the 'Too Fast' condition (A-G-540 / AG-145): Verify the actual vehicle speed on the display. The system will lock out automatic steering or implement engagement if the speed exceeds the safety/operational threshold.

  3. Check for related GNSS or speed mismatch codes that might indicate a sensor issue (e.g., A-G-555 - GNSS steering error or A-G-553 - Guidance speed mismatch).

Repair steps

  1. Acknowledge error

Acknowledge the error code on the AFS display.

  2. Reduce speed

If addressing 'Too Fast': Manually slow the vehicle down below the Autoguidance engagement threshold.

  3. Select swath

If addressing 'No Swath' (A-G-535): Navigate to the guidance menu on the display and record a new swath or select an existing valid guidance line.

  4. Re-engage Autoguidance

Re-engage the Autoguidance system once the speed is reduced and the swath is active.

  5. Update software

If the system still refuses to engage and throws unspecified errors, ensure that the latest software available on the Electronic Service Tool is loaded to the display and NAV controller.
