Case IH A-G-550 - Display – Display / Monitor: Too Far Past End of Swath

An Autoguidance (GPS/Steering) operational error indicating that the vehicle has traveled beyond the calculated endpoint of the recorded swath line or field boundary, causing the autoguidance system to lose its reference point.

   Verify vehicle position on the on-screen map relative to the recorded swath line and field boundaries

   Check boundary settings to ensure the outer field boundary is properly loaded and active

   Review 'Turn-Off Look-Ahead' and 'Turn-On Look-Ahead' settings in the Automatic Swath Control screen

   Check minimum turning radius in the display to ensure it is at least as large as the implement width

   Verify GPS/GNSS signal to ensure the receiver has a high-accuracy RTK or OmniStar signal to prevent GPS drift

   Take Manual Control

   Acknowledge the 'Take Control' message on the display and manually steer the vehicle.

   Clear the Active Fault

   Stop the vehicle. On the AFS display, navigate to the Swath Management tab.

   Adjust or Re-record the Swath

   If the swath was recorded incorrectly, delete the current swath and record a new one. If you are using a spiral or curved swath, ensure you have not driven into an internal region where swaths can no longer be calculated.

   Adjust Look-Ahead Increments

   Go to Setup > Wrench Icon > Automatic Swath Control > Look-Ahead Settings. Adjust the Turn-Off Look-Ahead value in 0.2-second increments so the system accurately recognizes the end of the pass without throwing the error prematurely.

   Re-engage Autoguidance

   Align the vehicle with the desired direction of travel for the next pass. Ensure the vehicle is past the midpoint of the turn and clearly pointed at the new swath line. Press the 'Engage' button.
