Case IH A-G-601 - Display – Display: Guidance Communication Error

Loss of communication or a data transfer failure between the tractor's primary display and the guidance controller/GNSS receiver (such as the NAV-900 or AFS Vector Pro).

   Inspect the Display Harness: Check the monitor mounting kit and display harness connections at the back of the AFS Pro 1200 display for loose pins or damaged wires.

   Inspect the Receiver/Controller Harness: Check the CAN Guidance adapter cable connecting the NAV-900 guidance controller/receiver on the roof to the machine's main harness.

   Verify Power and Ground: Ensure the NAV-900 receiver is receiving proper voltage, as a powered-off receiver will trigger a communication error at the display.

   Replace wiring harness segment

   If the wiring harness is found to be faulty, replace the specific segment (e.g., the display harness or the roof-mounted NAV-900 adapter cable).

   Replace or repair display

   If the harness is intact but the display fails to communicate with a known-good receiver, the AFS Pro 1200 display may require replacement or internal repair.

   Replace or repair receiver

   If the NAV-900 receiver has failed internally and is not broadcasting on the CAN bus, it must be replaced or sent out for specialized repair.

   Re-flash or calibrate system

   After replacing any AFS components, the system may require a software re-flash or calibration via the dealer's electronic service tool to re-establish the CAN bus handshake.
