Case IH A-G-620 - Display – AFS Pro 1200 Display Monitor: Guidance is not allowed ISO Bus Guidance
Issue description
This is a system fault indicating that the Autoguidance system is preventing the ISOBUS guidance from engaging. It is typically a software, configuration, or communication error over the ISOBUS network rather than a direct mechanical failure.
Applies to these machines
6 machines- MAGNUM AFS Connect
- STEIGER AFS Connect
- Magnum series
- Steiger series
- Quadtrac series
- combines
Check the cause
Check the Fault Page Screen on the AFS Pro 1200 display for other active faults impacting the guidance system (such as steering controller or GPS receiver faults)
Verify the operator is fully seated in the operator's seat, as autoguidance will not engage and may throw safety lockouts if the seat switch does not detect the operator
Inspect the ISOBUS implement connector and wiring harness for any loose connections, corrosion, or damage that could interrupt communication
Repair steps
Clear Faults
Send a periodic 'clear faults' message via the display monitor to see if the system can reset the ISOBUS guidance block.
Power Cycle the Vehicle
If the error does not clear after some time, perform a complete restart of the vehicle (key off, wait for the display to power down completely, then key on) to allow the modules to recover and re-handshake on the CAN/ISOBUS network.
Dealer Intervention
If the problem persists after a vehicle restart and clearing the fault screen, contact your authorized CASE IH dealer. They may need to reflash the AFS Pro 1200 firmware or update the ISOBUS implement control unit (ICU) software.
