A-G-715 - Display

Case IH A-G-715 - Display – AFS Pro 600 / AFS Pro 700, Nav Controller, or ECM: Calibration Active / AG-715 RTK Radio

Issue description

A-G-715 is an integrated RTK radio, not a fault code. The display message 'Calibration Active' indicates a calibration procedure is in progress, interrupted, or stuck in a loop because preliminary conditions were not met.

Applies to these machines

  • MAGNUM AFS Connect
  • STEIGER AFS Connect
  • Steiger Tractors
  • Magnum Tractors
  • Axial-Flow Combines
  • Patriot Sprayers

Check the cause

  1. Check calibration prerequisites (e.g., machine on level ground, engine at correct RPM, oil at operating temperature) to ensure the ECM does not suspend calibration.

  2. Cycle machine key power to reset the ECM and clear the active calibration loop if aborted by the monitor.

  3. Inspect the AG-715 radio seating underneath the AFS 372 receiver housing on the cab roof if experiencing RTK signal loss.

  4. Verify the correct radio frequency is being used for the local RTK network (450 MHz or 900 MHz).

Repair steps

  1. Park machine

Safely park the machine on level ground and engage the parking brake.

  2. Navigate to menu

Navigate to the 'Diagnostics' or 'Calibration' menu on your AFS Pro 700 display.

  3. Abort calibration

Manually abort the current calibration using the ESC or exit button.

  4. Perform cold restart

Turn off the ignition and wait for the ECM to power down completely (usually 1-3 minutes) to perform a cold restart.

  5. Restart calibration

Turn the ignition back on. Restart the calibration procedure from the beginning, ensuring all on-screen prompts and physical prerequisites are strictly followed.

  6. Access receiver

To replace a faulty AG-715 RTK Radio: Power down the machine and access the roof of the cab where the AFS 372 GNSS receiver is mounted.

  7. Remove housing

Remove the AFS 372 receiver housing.

  8. Locate radio module

Locate the AG-715 radio module, which is completely sealed and slot-mounted underneath the receiver.

  9. Remove old radio

Disconnect and slide out the old AG-715 radio.

  10. Install new radio

Insert the new AG-715 radio into the slot until securely connected.

  11. Reinstall housing

    Reinstall the receiver housing.

  12. Configure new radio

Power on the machine and use the AFS Pro display to configure the new radio to your local RTK network.
