Case IH A-G-900 - Display – Autoguidance System / Steering Controller: System Fault

A general fault code indicating that there are active issues impacting the engagement of the autoguidance/steering system. It acts as an umbrella code when other specific faults (such as steering valve coil shorts or high input currents) are present and preventing the autoguidance system from operating safely.

   Access the Fault Page screen on the AFS Pro 1200 display to identify the specific underlying faults that are impacting guidance.

   Inspect the steering valve cable harness and electro-hydraulic solenoids for physical damage or shorts. A sampled current greater than 5.0 Amps through the solenoids will trigger system faults.

   Determine if the fault is currently active or inactive.

   Review Faults

   Navigate to the Fault Page screen on the AFS Pro 1200 display.

   Investigate Specifics

   Investigate the specific sub-faults listed under the Autoguidance area of concern.

   Clear Inactive Codes

   Clear any inactive faults from the system.

   Restart

   Restart the vehicle to see if the steering controller recovers and the fault clears.

   Dealer Intervention

   If the A-G-900 fault cannot be cleared, contact a Case IH dealer. The dealer can utilize Remote Services via the Processing & Connectivity Module (PCM) to remotely review and clear faults without a service call, or perform advanced diagnostics on the steering controller.

   Hardware Repair

   If a hardware failure is found during diagnostics, repair or replace the damaged steering valve harness, NAV controller, or display.
