A-GNSS-114 - Display

Case IH A-GNSS-114 - Display – Guidance and GNSS: Position Recall Failed

Issue description

This code is triggered when the vehicle is moved prior to the completion of the GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) initialization process. It can also occur if the operator incorrectly answers the on-screen prompt asking 'Has the vehicle been moved?' during startup.

Applies to these machines

  • MAGNUM AFS Connect
  • STEIGER AFS Connect
  • Magnum
  • Steiger
  • Puma
  • Puma CVX
  • Axial-Flow Combines

Check the cause

  1. Verify Operator Procedure: Confirm whether the operator moved the tractor while the 'Position Recall in Progress' message was on the screen.

  2. Check Convergence Progress: Observe the convergence bar graph on the display. If the bar graph stops at a low percentage or shows no progress for 10 to 20 minutes, the convergence process has stalled.

  3. Verify Power/Connection (If system fails entirely): If the display LED is not lit or the GNSS receiver drops offline, check the harness connector to the display and the cab unswitched/switched power fuses.

Repair steps

  1. Stop the Vehicle

Bring the machine to a complete stop in an area with a clear view of the sky. GNSS position and heading will initialize much faster if the vehicle remains completely stationary.

  2. Restart Convergence

Locate the 'Reset' button on the display screen (Note: This button is typically only present when using HP/XP/G2 or RTX correction signals).

  3. Press 'Reset'

Press the button to restart the convergence process.

  4. Answer Prompts Correctly

If the display prompts with the question 'Has the vehicle been moved?', ensure you answer it accurately based on whether the tractor's position has changed since it was last powered down.

  5. Wait for Initialization

Leave the vehicle parked until the 'Position Recall in Progress' message clears and the GNSS status indicates the system is ready for use.
