A-PF-171 - Display

Case IH A-PF-171 - Display – AFS Pro 1200 Display: Export Failed. Destination Drive Removed.

Issue description

This is a low-level data management error indicating that a data export process has failed because the destination storage drive (the USB flash drive) was physically removed, disconnected, or lost connection with the display port before the data transfer was completed.

Applies to these machines

  • MAGNUM AFS Connect
  • STEIGER AFS Connect
  • Magnum series
  • Steiger (and Quadtrac) series
  • long-wheelbase Puma series
  • Optum series
  • Axial-Flow 260 and AF series
  • Patriot 50 series
  • Legacy Case IH or competitive machines retrofitted with the Pro 1200 Guidance Kit

Check the cause

  1. Check the USB port on the Pro 1200 display to ensure the USB drive is fully seated.

  2. Inspect the display's USB port for dust, debris, or physical damage that might cause a loose connection or intermittent disconnects.

  3. Remove the USB drive and test it on a standard computer to ensure the drive is not corrupted, damaged, or suffering from a hardware failure.

  4. Ensure the USB drive is formatted correctly for CNH displays (typically FAT32) and has sufficient storage space for the exported TaskData or .cn1 folders.

Repair steps

  1. Re-insert USB drive

Re-insert the USB storage drive securely into the USB port on the Pro 1200 display.

  2. Wait for recognition

Wait a moment for the Android-based Vision Pro operating system to recognize the inserted drive.

  3. Retry export

Navigate back to the data management menu and retry the data export.

  4. Wait for completion

Do not remove or bump the USB drive until the display confirms that the export is 100% complete.

  5. Replace USB drive

If the fault code immediately returns despite the drive being securely plugged in, the USB drive itself is likely failing to maintain a connection. Replace the USB drive with a new, high-quality unit and attempt the export again.
