Case IH A-PF-172 - Display – AFS Pro 1200 Display: Import Failed. Source Drive Removed.

This is a low-severity data management fault indicating that a data import process (such as loading planting prescriptions, shapefiles, or field data) has failed because the source storage drive (USB memory stick) was disconnected or removed before the transfer was complete.

   Confirm if the operator accidentally pulled the USB drive out while the import progress screen was still active.

   Check the USB memory stick for physical damage, bent connectors, or file corruption. Test the drive on a desktop computer to ensure the files (e.g., shapefiles, .cn1 folders) are readable.

   Inspect the USB port on the back/side of the AFS Pro 1200 display. Look for debris, dust, or bent pins that could cause the USB drive to lose connection momentarily during vibration.

   Reinsert the source storage drive (USB stick) into the display port

   ensuring it is fully seated.

   Clear the A-PF-172 fault code from the display.

   Restart the data import process via the data management menu.

   Leave the source storage drive inserted for the entire duration of the import.

   Do not remove the drive until the display explicitly confirms that the import to internal storage is complete.

   If the connection drops without the operator touching the drive, try a new Case IH-approved USB stick.

   If the port itself is internally damaged and loses connection from machine vibration, the display or external harness may require replacement.
