Case IH A-PF-173 - Display – AFS Pro 1200 Display: Import Failed
Issue description
Data import incomplete. The system failed to successfully import data (such as field boundaries, prescriptions, or setup files) into the display's internal memory.
Applies to these machines
5 machines- MAGNUM AFS Connect
- STEIGER AFS Connect
- Magnum series tractors (e.g., 180–400)
- Steiger / Quadtrac series tractors
- Axial-Flow combines equipped with the Pro 1200 display
Check the cause
Check the USB Drive: Ensure the USB flash drive is not corrupted, is formatted correctly (typically FAT32 for displays), and is firmly inserted into the display's USB port.
Verify File Structure: The Pro 1200 display requires a specific file structure called 'TASKDATA' (XML format). Ensure your farm management software exported the data correctly for the Pro 1200, rather than older formats like the .cn1 folder.
Check for Corrupt/Empty Files: Look at the data on a computer. If there are files that are 0kb in size, delete them and try exporting again.
Check for Duplicates: Ensure there are no duplicate designators in the file, which can sometimes cause import conflicts.
Repair steps
Retry the Import
Clear the error and attempt the data import again.
Re-export the Data
If the import fails a second time, return to your desktop farm management software (e.g., SMS, AFS Connect). Re-export the setup/prescription data to a brand-new, blank USB drive.
Perform a Screen Capture
If the fault persists, press and hold your finger on the clock on the top bar of the display to take a screenshot of the error and CAN status. This will help your dealer diagnose the issue.
Update Software
Contact your Case IH dealer to ensure the AFS Pro 1200 display is running the latest firmware/software version, as bugs in older software can cause import failures.
