Case IH F-101-00 - ECU – Engine Control Unit (ECU): Crankcase pressure sensor voltage is higher than expected.

The control module is receiving a voltage signal from the engine's crankcase pressure sensor that exceeds the maximum calibrated threshold. This is typically caused by a short to a high-voltage source, an open circuit in the sensor ground, or an internal failure of the sensor itself.

   Connector Check: Disconnect the engine sensor harness from the crankcase pressure sensor and the ECU. Ensure the connectors are not damaged, there is no corrosion, the pins are in the correct position, and the terminal fit is tight.

   Circuit Testing: With the harness disconnected, use a multimeter to check for an open circuit on the sensor ground wire. Next, check the sensor signal wire for a short to a voltage source (e.g., short to battery).

   Sensor Verification: If the wiring harness tests good (continuity is present and no shorts to power are found), the fault is likely an internal failure of the crankcase pressure sensor.
