Case IH F-2858-14 - CGR – CGR: Unlock Code Corrupted
Issue description
The software activation key—which unlocks specific accuracy levels (like RTK) or guidance features—has become invalid, corrupted, or wiped from the receiver's memory.
Applies to these machines
3 machines- MAGNUM AFS Connect
- STEIGER AFS Connect
- Case IH AFS Connect Magnum Tractors (Models 180, 200, 220, 240, 250, 280, 310, 340, 380) with CVT or Full Power Shift Transmissions (Tier 4B)
Check the cause
Verify the current software version of the CGR (e.g., checking if it is running software version 1.0.0.0 or higher) via the AFS Pro / Color Display Module (GDSP).
Check the display to see if the GNSS receiver is still recognizing its base vector/RTK unlock levels.
Repair steps
Re-enter unlock code
Re-enter the feature unlock code through the cab display.
Re-flash software
Re-flash the CGR software using the dealer electronic service tool.
Replace receiver
If the receiver's internal memory has failed and will not hold an unlock code, the physical CGR antenna/receiver must be replaced.
