Case IH F-3361-31 - ECU – Engine Control Unit (ECU) / Engine ECM: DEF/AdBlue supply module temperature not available / DEF dosing valve powerstage driver chip over temperature

The engine control system has lost the temperature signal from the DEF supply module, the temperature is outside of valid acceptable ranges, or the module's internal driver chip is overheating, which prevents proper DEF dosing.

   Check the wiring harness and connectors leading to the DEF supply module for open circuits, short circuits, or corrosion

   Check the DEF pressure lines for restrictions such as debris, ice, or pinched lines

   Verify that the DEF injection valve is not stuck or blocked

   Verify that the DEF tank heater and supply module heater circuits are functioning properly, as freezing can cause supply module issues

   Clear the fault code and cycle the key

   Determine if it is an intermittent or hard fault.

   Perform visual and multimeter checks on the wiring harness

   Check the wiring harness to the DEF supply module to rule out electrical shorts or open loads.

   Inspect the DEF lines and dosing valve

   Check for physical blockages.

   Replace the DEF Supply Module

   If the wiring and lines are intact and the error persists (frequent detection), replace the DEF Supply Module.

   Clear codes and run a DEF dosing valve control test

   After replacement, clear the codes and run a DEF dosing valve control test (often requiring a dealer diagnostic tool) to prime the system and verify operation.
