Case IH F-516354-16 - CGR – CGR: Internal Voltage Fault

The internal power supply or voltage regulation within the receiver module has failed or detected an out-of-bounds voltage condition.

   Inspect the CGR Serial Interface Cable and the main wire harness mounting parts connecting the tractor to the GPS receiver.

   Look for pinched wires, corrosion at the receiver connector, or moisture intrusion that could cause voltage drops or shorts.

   Test the machine-side harness to ensure the tractor is supplying the correct, stable battery voltage and a solid ground to the CGR module.

   Disconnect cable

   Power down the machine and disconnect the CGR Serial Interface Cable from the GNSS receiver.

   Inspect and clean connector

   Clean and inspect the connector pins. If corrosion is found, clean the contacts, apply dielectric grease, reconnect, and re-test to see if the code clears.

   Evaluate internal circuitry

   If the external harness and supply voltage test perfectly but the 516354-16 code persists, the internal circuitry of the CGR has failed.

   Remove faulty receiver

   Unbolt the faulty CGR/Vector Pro receiver from the cab roof mount.

   Install replacement receiver

   Install the replacement CGR module.

   Reconnect cable

   Reconnect the serial interface cable.

   Verify repair

   Power on the machine and use the AFS Pro 1200 display to verify that the receiver is recognized, the software is communicating, and the fault code has moved to an inactive state or cleared.
