The engine's control module has experienced an internal fault causing the software to unexpectedly reset. This is typically triggered by electronic disturbances, unexpected voltage drops, internal hardware defects within the module, or software configuration problems.

   Verify Power Supply: Check if the ECU is correctly supplied with power. Test the battery, alternator, and main power relays to ensure there are no unexpected voltage drops or spikes during operation.

   Inspect Wiring and Connectors: Check the main wiring harnesses and connectors plugging into the ECU. Look for loose pins, corrosion, water intrusion, or chafed wires that could cause a momentary short or loss of power (which forces a software reset).

   Check for External Disturbances: Ensure there are no aftermarket electrical accessories causing electromagnetic interference (EMI) or draining the system voltage.

   Resolve Voltage/Wiring Issues

   If any external electrical disturbances, voltage drops, or wiring faults were found during the diagnostic checks, repair them first and clear the code.

   Reprogram the ECU

   If no external disturbances are found and the error occurs repeatedly, connect the OEM diagnostic service tool (e.g., CNH EST) and reprogram (re-flash) the ECU with the latest software calibration.

   Replace the ECU

   If the software update does not resolve the issue and the error remains active, the ECU has suffered an unrecoverable internal hardware defect. You must replace the Engine Control Unit.
