F-519646-00 - ECU

Case IH F-519646-00 - ECU – Engine Control Unit (ECU): SCR Inducement: Level 3 (creep mode), triggered by EGR valve blocked fault

Issue description

This is an emissions-related inducement code. The engine control system has detected that the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve is blocked or malfunctioning. Because a blocked EGR valve severely impacts the engine's emissions output, the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system's inducement logic is triggered, forcing the machine into 'creep mode' (a severe torque and speed reduction) to compel the operator to repair the root emissions failure.

Applies to these machines

  • MAGNUM AFS Connect
  • Farmall 55C
  • Farmall 65C
  • Farmall 75C
  • Farmall 85C
  • Farmall 95C

  • Farmall 110N/V
  • SR210
  • SV250
  • TR270
  • 580N
  • 590SN

Check the cause

  1. Do not troubleshoot the inducement code directly; the EGR fault which is the root cause must be repaired

  2. Scan the ECU for other active fault codes specifically related to the EGR valve position, circuit, or flow

  3. Inspect the EGR valve and cooler for excessive soot or carbon buildup that is physically blocking the valve from actuating

  4. Check the wiring harness and connectors leading to the EGR valve for damage, corrosion, or poor pin fitment

Repair steps

  1. Address the Root Cause

Remove the EGR valve assembly. If it is heavily carbon-packed, you may attempt to clean it; however, if the internal mechanism has failed or the blockage is severe, the EGR valve must be replaced.

  2. Install the New Part

Install the replacement EGR valve using new gaskets.

  3. Reset the Inducement Lock

Connect the OEM diagnostic software (Case IH Electronic Service Tool) and run the specific ECU routine to reset the inducement lock (often labeled 'Reset the severe deactivation counter' or 'Inducement Validation restart').

  4. Clear Codes

Clear all inactive fault codes from the ECU memory.

  5. Test Run

Operate the machine to ensure full torque is restored and the EGR system is functioning normally.
