   Inspect the CGR serial interface cable and main harness for pin damage, corrosion, or shorts

   Verify the receiver is getting clean 12V power and a solid ground, as voltage drops can cause internal module communication errors

   Check the Color Display Module (GDSP) to see if the CGR software version is out of date (a dealer re-flash may resolve intermittent SPI communication glitches)

   Disconnect power

   Disconnect the battery or turn off the master disconnect switch to prevent voltage spikes.

   Disconnect cable

   Disconnect the CGR serial interface cable from the back of the GPS receiver dome.

   Remove receiver

   Unbolt the receiver from the cab roof mounting bracket (often a square JD-style or CNH-specific quick-release mount).
