Case IH F-GNSS-500 - Display – Guidance and GNSS system: Display: No ISO CAN Communication with GNSS Receiver

GNSS receiver messages are not present on the machine's ISO CAN bus network. The precision farming display is failing to receive the required positional data and communication packets from the GPS/GNSS dome receiver.

   Check software configuration for incorrect serial output settings inside the display

   Inspect the physical CAN bus connections at the back of the GNSS receiver (4-pin D-code power/communication port or 12-pin Deutsch DTM main interface port) for moisture, corrosion, or backed-out pins

   Verify the GNSS receiver is receiving adequate power and that the status lights indicate it is booting up

   Turn on the machine and allow the AFS display (e.g., Pro 1200) to fully boot up.

   Navigate to the Guidance and GNSS settings menu on the display.

   Access the GNSS receiver configuration and locate the "Serial Output" section of the GNSS card.

   Locate the NMEA message PGN-129029.

   Ensure this message is enabled and set the output rate to 20HZ.

   Save the settings and perform a key cycle (turn the machine off, wait 30 seconds, and turn it back on) to reboot the CAN bus and receiver.

   If the fault code persists after correcting the software settings, use a multimeter to test the CAN High and CAN Low wires between the receiver harness and the display for continuity.

   Repair any broken wires.

   If the wiring is intact and the settings are correct, replace the GNSS receiver.

   The GNSS receiver itself has likely suffered an internal hardware failure and must be replaced.
