Case IH F-PCM-001 - Display – AFS Pro 1200 Display / PCM: PCM Signals Error

The AFS Pro 1200 display has lost communication with the PCM. The system flags this when the PCM signals are physically or electronically disconnected.

   Check all physical cable connections between the AFS Pro 1200 display and the PCM

   Inspect the PCM wiring harness for pinched wires, corrosion, or backed-out pins at the connectors

   Verify that the PCM is receiving proper voltage and has a solid ground connection, as a loss of power to the module will sever communication with the display

   Power Down

   Turn off the machine and allow the AFS Pro 1200 display to fully shut down and save its data.

   Locate Components

   Locate the PCM module and trace the communication harness routing to the back of the Pro 1200 display.

   Inspect and Clean

   Disconnect the harness at both the PCM and the display. Inspect for bent pins, moisture, or debris. Clean the contacts with electronic contact cleaner.

   Reconnect

   Securely seat the connectors back into their respective ports, ensuring the locking tabs click into place.

   Test

   Power the machine back on. If the F-PCM-001 code clears and cellular/guidance data is restored, the issue was a loose connection.

   Harness/Module Replacement

   If the code persists, test the harness for continuity. If the harness is damaged, replace it. If the harness tests good, the PCM itself has likely suffered an internal hardware failure and must be replaced. (Note: A new PCM will require dealer provisioning to link it to your Case IH FieldOps account).
