F-PF-201 - Display

Case IH F-PF-201 - Display – AFS Pro 1200 Display: GNSS Accuracy Low

Issue description

The GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) position accuracy is not sufficient for automatic rate and section control. A reliable GNSS fix requires a constellation of at least four satellites spread out across the sky. When the receiver cannot maintain this connection, accuracy drops below the threshold required for precision farming tasks.

Applies to these machines

  • MAGNUM AFS Connect
  • STEIGER AFS Connect
  • AFS Connect Magnum
  • Steiger
  • Patriot 50 Series
  • Legacy machines retrofitted with Case IH Pro 1200 Guidance Kit

Check the cause

  1. Check for Obstructions: Ensure the GNSS receiver is not obstructed by tree lines, tall buildings, or deep valleys that cause signal blockages.

  2. Verify Satellite Constellation: Ensure the system has at least four satellites, preferably at higher elevations relative to the vehicle.

  3. Inspect Wiring and Connections: Ensure the data cables connecting the GNSS receiver (e.g., Vector Pro) to the Pro 1200 display and the Processing & Connectivity Module (PCM) are secure.

Repair steps

  1. Relocate the Machine

Move the agricultural equipment to a wide-open area with a clear, unobstructed 360-degree view of the sky.

  2. Allow for Signal Acquisition

Wait for the receiver to acquire a sufficient satellite constellation. A baseline connection must be re-established.

  3. Harness Inspection

If the fault persists in an open field, physically inspect the wiring harness running from the cab roof (GNSS receiver) to the Pro 1200 display. Look for pinched wires, corrosion in the connectors, or loose zip ties.

  4. Component Replacement

If the wiring is intact and the receiver consistently fails to track satellites (GPS, Galileo, Glonass, and BeiDou) in open conditions, the GNSS receiver hardware has likely failed and must be replaced.

Parts you might need

(2)
  • Case IH Vector Pro Receiver - Base Accuracy

    91737688

Mounts to the roof of the cab. Compatible with AFS Connect Magnum, Steiger, Patriot 50 series, and machines equipped with the aftermarket Case IH Pro 1200 Guidance Kit.

  • Case IH AFS Pro 1200 Display

If the issue is isolated to the monitor itself failing to process the signal.
