Case IH F75 – Transmission Controller / EDC (Electronic Draft Control): Swapped Mid And Output Speed Sensors

Triggered when the transmission controller detects that the rotational speed signals coming from the mid-speed sensor and the output speed sensor are reversed. This is almost always a physical wiring error where the harness connectors for the two sensors have been plugged into the wrong ports.

   Trace the transmission wiring harness to the mid-speed and output speed sensors on the transmission housing.

   Verify if the tractor recently underwent a transmission split, clutch pack repair, or sensor replacement, as this fault is typically human error caused during reassembly.

   Look for accompanying codes F77 (No signal from the output speed sensor) or F78 (No signal from the transmission mid-speed sensor). If present, a sensor may be entirely disconnected or damaged rather than just swapped.

   Locate the Sensors

   Identify the transmission mid-speed sensor and the transmission output speed sensor on the side of the transmission housing.

   Swap the Connectors

   Disconnect the wiring harness connectors from both sensors and swap them to their correct, respective sensors. Ensure the connectors click securely into place.

   Clear the Fault Codes

   Use the tractor's H-Menu or a diagnostic tool to clear the F75 fault code from the transmission controller's memory.

   Perform a Transmission Calibration

   Place all shift levers in neutral, lower equipment to the ground, and block the wheels. Hold the High and Low range buttons simultaneously and start the engine. When ''CAL'' appears on the transmission display, release the buttons. Set the engine speed to 1200 RPM (±100) and follow the on-screen prompts to cycle through the clutch pack calibrations.
