The transmission controller has not successfully calibrated the engagement parameters for Clutch D, resulting in poor clutch performance for that specific clutch pack.

   Attempt to run the automated transmission calibration procedure

   Monitor the dash for specific 'U' codes that prevent calibration (e.g., U19 for oil temp below 10°C/20°C, U21/U22 for engine RPM too low/high, U26 for clutch pedal not released, U33 for handbrake not applied)

   If calibration fails without a U-code, pressure test Clutch D (expected pressure is approximately 16 bar)

   Inspect the Solenoid

   Remove the PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) valve/solenoid responsible for Clutch D.

   Clean or Replace

   Clean the PWM valve (checking for debris in the gauze filter if equipped) and reinstall it. If it is visibly damaged or fails electrically, replace the PWM valve.

   Recalibrate

   Attempt the transmission calibration procedure again.

   Check for Hydraulic Leaks

   If the calibration still cannot be performed successfully, perform the 16-bar pressure test. If the pressure is low, the failure mode is likely a faulty hydraulic circuit.

   Mechanical/Seal Repair

   Inspect for clutch piston seal leakage or leakage to the piston directly from the PWM valve. Replace the leaking clutch piston seals or repair the mechanical fault inside the clutch pack.

   Clear Codes

   Once the underlying mechanical or electrical cause has been rectified and calibration is successful, clear the error code from the system.
