Case IH HY – Hitch Controller (EHR) or ADIC (Analogue Digital Instrument Cluster): Controller memory failure, can not read calibration values

The fault code indicates a Controller Memory Failure where the system cannot read calibration values due to an internal EEPROM failure. This is caused by either a genuine internal controller memory failure or an intermittent controller power supply or ground issue.

   Verify Power and Ground: Check the wiring from the controller to the battery. Ensure the controller has a solid connection and is properly grounded.

   Inspect Connectors: Disconnect the main controller connectors (e.g., C058 and C152 on Steiger models) and inspect the ends for damaged, bent, or dislocated pins.

   Check for Shorts/Opens: Check the wires from the controller cavities to the solenoids/battery for an open circuit or a short to ground.

   Ensure good connection

   Ensure the controller has a good connection to the battery and is properly grounded.

   Perform calibration

   Perform the controller calibration procedure (e.g., Hitch Controller Calibration or ADIC configuration via the 'H' menu using the diagnostic test switch).

   Clear fault codes

   Clear the fault codes from the system.

   Cycle key switch

   Cycle the key switch (turn off, then back on).

   Replace controller module

   If the fault code returns immediately or the calibration aborts, the controller's EEPROM is permanently failed and the module must be replaced.
