Check the cause
Perform the H-Menu Switch Test (H5) to verify if the #1 lever's potentiometer is registering inputs on the Electronic Instrument Cluster
Inspect the wiring harness running from the armrest controls to the EHR controller, and from the controller to the remote valves for open circuits, shorts to ground, or loose connections
Verify the lever's physical travel to ensure the potentiometer is not mechanically binding or out of adjustment
Repair steps
Disconnect Power
Disconnect the tractor's battery before servicing the electrical components.
Access the Controls
Open the armrest controller or side console where the EHR remote levers are housed.
Remove the Faulty Unit
Disconnect the wiring harness from the faulty #1 EHR lever/potentiometer and unbolt the unit.
Install the New Part
Install the replacement EHR lever or potentiometer and securely reconnect the 3-pin wiring harness.
Restore Power
Reconnect the battery.
Mandatory Calibration
Perform the Transmission/EDC Calibration Set Up Procedure. This is strictly required whenever a potentiometer has been replaced or the non-volatile memory has been reset.
Execute Calibration
Enter the "H1" calibration menu via the Electronic Instrument Cluster. Follow the on-screen prompts to calibrate the travel limits of the new lever (e.g., pulling the lever into the raise detent position when prompted) until the system confirms the calibration is saved.
