Check the cause
Perform the H5 Switch Test via the instrument cluster display to verify if the controller is receiving a signal from the #3 EHR lever.
Inspect the wiring harness from the armrest controls to the EHR controller and remote valves for pinched wires, corrosion, or loose pins.
Navigate to the H1 menu and attempt to recalibrate the remote valves. If the lever fails to follow the command, the switch is internally faulty.
Repair steps
Disconnect power
Disconnect the tractor's battery to prevent electrical shorts during repair.
Access the armrest
Remove the retaining screws on the armrest/side console cover to expose the underside of the EHR control levers.
Remove the faulty switch
Locate the #3 EHR lever. Disconnect its electrical connector from the main armrest harness. Remove the retaining hardware holding the lever module in place and pull the faulty switch assembly out.
Install the new part
Seat the new EHR lever into the console, secure it with the retaining hardware, and plug in the electrical connector.
Reassemble
Reinstall the armrest console cover and reconnect the battery.
Calibrate the new switch
Enter the diagnostic H-Menu, navigate to H1, and perform the EDC/Remote calibration procedure so the controller can learn the new switch's neutral, raise, and lower detent positions.
