Case IH U13 – Transmission Control Module / EDC: Front suspension option not activated

Issue description

This is a configuration or software setting error indicating the tractor's computer system is not currently programmed to recognize or operate the front axle suspension system.

Applies to these machines

  • Puma/Mid Range Magnum
  • Case IH Puma Series (Puma 140, Puma 210)
  • Case IH MX170

Check the cause

  1. Confirm that the tractor is physically equipped with the front suspension option

  2. Verify the current configuration in the tractor's H3 transmission sub-system menu to see if the suspension setting has been accidentally disabled or lost during a calibration procedure

Repair steps

  1. Access the H3 Menu Screen

    Access the H3 Menu Screen on the tractor's display.

  2. Select the transmission sub-system

    Select the transmission sub-system by depressing the 'dimming' key.

  3. Check lower central display

    The lower central display will show 'ch _'.

  4. Navigate to the correct channel

    Use the 'h' and 'm' keys to navigate to the correct channel for the front suspension.

  5. Enable the front suspension option

    Turn on / enable the front suspension option.

  6. Save and exit

    Save the selection and exit the menu.
