Case IH u150 – Transmission/Hydraulic Control Module: No calibration messages have been received via CAN from the EHR pilot head

The control module is failing to communicate with the Electro-Hydraulic Remote (EHR) valve's pilot head over the Controller Area Network (CAN) bus during a calibration sequence, or the valve has lost its assigned identification number on the network.

   Inspect the wiring harness and CAN bus connectors at the EHR pilot head for open circuits, short circuits, damaged pins, or corrosion.

   Verify that the EHR valve has been renumbered correctly, as the ECU will not recognize a valve that has lost its memory or was recently moved.

   Inspect and Repair Wiring

   Trace the CAN wiring harness from the EHR pilot head to the main controller. Repair any damaged wires or connectors.

   Renumber the EHR Valves

   Using the tractor's display monitor or the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST), navigate to the EHR configuration menu and perform the valve renumbering procedure. Pay special attention to ensure all steps of the numbering change procedure are completed.

   Calibrate

   Once renumbered, attempt to calibrate the EHR pilot head.

   Clear and Retest

   Clear the U150 fault code and test the hydraulic remotes for normal operation.

   Replace the Valve

   If the wiring is intact and the valve refuses to accept numbering or calibration, the EHR pilot head/valve section has internally failed. Remove, replace, and reconfigure the new EHR valve section.
