Case IH U63 – Armrest Controller (ARM) or Electronic Management System / EHR: Lever No. 3 not in neutral

This is a calibration error code. It indicates that the #3 auxiliary remote valve lever (or hitch lever) was not in the neutral position when the operator attempted to initiate a calibration procedure.

   Verify that the #3 remote lever on the armrest is physically sitting in the center/neutral detent position.

   Look at the A-post display or the Pro 700/1200 monitor to see if the green cylinder icon (indicating active hydraulic flow) is illuminated while the lever is physically in neutral.

   Attempt to recalibrate the armrest levers by holding the 'PROG' key while turning the ignition ON, navigating to the 'ARM' section, and cycling the levers fully forward, fully backward, and back to neutral.

   Open the armrest and swap the electrical connector of lever #3 with lever #4. If the problem moves to the #4 circuit on the display, the #3 lever's internal potentiometer has failed. If the problem stays on #3, there is a wiring harness or controller issue.

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect battery power.

   Access the Levers

   Remove the screws securing the armrest console cover to expose the SCV (Selective Control Valve) lever assemblies.

   Disconnect

   Locate the #3 SCV lever. Unplug its electrical connector from the armrest wiring harness.

   Remove the Lever

   Remove the retaining screws or mounting bracket holding the #3 lever assembly in place and pull the faulty lever out.

   Install the New Part

   Drop the new SCV lever/potentiometer assembly into place, secure it with the retaining screws, and plug in the electrical connector.

   Reassemble

   Reinstall the armrest console cover.

   Calibrate

   Reconnect the battery, turn the key ON, and perform the Armrest Calibration procedure (via the A-post or diagnostic menu) so the controller can learn the exact voltage values for the new potentiometer's extend, retract, and neutral positions.
