Id7512h / 7512h

CLAAS Id7512h / 7512h – MFA (A100) - Multifunction Armrest Module: Signal voltage specified with the distributor control on line 4 too high.

Issue description

The system is detecting an abnormally high voltage on the signal circuit for the 4th axis of the cross command (joystick) distributor. As a safety measure, Axis 4 of the cross command (Electropilot) becomes inactive, meaning you will lose control of the hydraulic function tied to that specific axis.

Applies to these machines

  • CLAAS Axion 800 Series (810, 850)
  • CLAAS Axion 900 Series (920, 950)
  • CLAAS Arion 500 / 600 Series (510, 530, 550, 620, 640, 650)
  • CLAAS Arion 400 Series

Check the cause

  1. Inspect the physical condition and electrical connection of the R75 electrodistributor valve (Electrodistributor n° 4)

  2. Verify the connections at the MFA (A100) multifunction armrest module

  3. Thoroughly check the wiring harness linking the Electropilot joystick, the R75 electrodistributor, and the MFA (A100) module for a short-circuit to 12V power

  4. Measure the internal resistance of the R75 electrodistributor coil to ensure it is within spec and not internally shorted

Repair steps

  1. Power Down

Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to ensure safety while testing electrical pins.

  2. Inspect Wiring

Trace the harness from the Electropilot joystick down to the hydraulic valve block (specifically electrodistributor n° 4 / R75) and back to the MFA (A100) armrest module. Look for pinched wires, chafing, or melted insulation that could cause a short to power.

  3. Test the R75 Solenoid

Disconnect the R75 electrodistributor. Use a multimeter to check the resistance across the pins. If it reads out of limits (open) or shows a dead short, the solenoid coil has failed and the electrodistributor must be replaced.

  4. Test the Joystick Output

If the wiring and solenoid are intact, the fault may lie within the Electropilot joystick itself sending an erratic high-voltage signal to the MFA module.

  5. Replace and Calibrate

Replace the faulty component (wiring, R75 solenoid, or Electropilot joystick). Once replaced, clear the fault codes via the CLAAS Diagnostic System (CDS) and perform any required joystick/valve calibration procedures.

Parts you might need
