CLAAS Id7522h / 7522h – MFA (A100) armrest multifunction module: Voltage of the signal specified by the transmission neutral contact incoherent.
Issue description
The system detects that the transmission neutral contact is inactive or providing an implausible/incoherent electrical signal to the control system.
Applies to these machines
8 machines- Axion 800 series
- Axion 810
- Axion 820
- Axion 830
- Axion 840
- Axion 850
- Dominator combines
- older series tractors
Check the cause
Inspect and test the transmission neutral contact (S180)
Verify the wiring harness between the S180 neutral contact and the A100 MFA module for continuity, shorts to ground/power, or corrosion at the connector pins
Inspect the MFA (A100) armrest multifunction module
Repair steps
Locate the Sensor
Locate the transmission neutral contact sensor (S180) on the transmission housing.
Inspect the Connector
Disconnect the sensor and inspect the pins for moisture, dirt, or corrosion. Clean if necessary.
Test the Sensor
Use a multimeter to test the operation of the S180 neutral contact. Verify if the sensor correctly opens and closes the circuit when the transmission is shifted in and out of neutral.
Test the Circuit
Back-probe the wiring at the MFA (A100) armrest module to ensure the voltage signal changes correctly when the tractor is shifted into neutral.
Replace if Faulty
If the wiring is intact but the sensor fails to switch or provides erratic resistance/voltage, replace the transmission neutral contact sensor.
Clear Codes
Reconnect all components, cycle the key, and use the CLAAS Diagnostic System (CDS) to clear the fault code and verify the repair.
