CLAAS Id7531h / 7531h – MFA (A100): Voltage of the signal specified by the stop sequence incoherent contact.
Issue description
The electrical signal coming from the stop sequence button/contact is erratic, out of expected range, or incoherent. As a system response to this fault, the Claas Sequence Management (CSM) is rendered inactive.
Applies to these machines
7 machines- Axion 810
- Axion 850
- Axion 920
- Axion 950
- Arion 510
- Arion 620
- Arion 640
Check the cause
Check the stop sequence contact (S185) physical switch/button on the armrest
Check the MFA (A100) armrest multifunction module that receives the signal from the S185 contact
Repair steps
Visual Inspection
Access the multifunction armrest (MFA A100) and locate the stop sequence contact switch (designated as S185). Inspect the switch for physical damage, sticking, or liquid intrusion (a common issue on armrest controls).
Wiring and Continuity Test
Check the wiring harness and connector between the S185 contact and the MFA (A100) module circuit board. Look for pinched wires, corrosion, or loose pins that could cause an 'incoherent' voltage drop or spike.
Test the Switch (S185)
Using a multimeter, test the S185 switch for proper operation. Ensure it provides a clean, consistent signal when pressed and released. If the resistance jumps erratically, the switch is faulty.
Module Verification
If the switch and wiring test perfectly, the fault lies within the MFA (A100) armrest multifunction module's internal circuitry.
Clear Codes and Retest
After repairing the wiring, replacing the switch, or replacing the module, clear the fault codes and test the Claas Sequence Management (CSM) to ensure it is active again.
Parts you might need
(2)Stop Sequence Contact Switch (S185)
Individual armrest switches are often not sold separately and may require replacing the switch cluster or the entire MFA A100 module.
