CLAAS Id7536h / 7536h – MFA (A100) - Armrest Multifunction Module: Voltage of the signal specified by the sequence 2 too low contact.
Issue description
The CLAAS Sequence Management (CSM) system becomes inactive. This means the automated headland management or sequence recording/playback functions will be disabled until the fault is resolved.
Applies to these machines
3 machines- CLAAS Axion 800 Series (e.g., 810, 820, 850)
- CLAAS Axion 900 Series (e.g., 920, 950, 960)
- CLAAS Arion 500 / 600 Series (e.g., 510, 530, 550, 610, 620, 640, 650)
Check the cause
Check the Sequence 2 Contact (S187): Inspect the physical switch for sticking, damage, or failure.
Check the MFA (A100) Module: Verify the armrest multifunction module is communicating and receiving inputs properly.
Wiring & Harness Continuity: Check the connectors and continuity of the harnesses linking the S187 switch to the A100 module.
Shorts/Opens: Test the circuit for any short-circuits to ground or open circuits.
Resistance & Adjustment: Check the S187 component's resistance and physical adjustment/mounting.
Power & Ground: Check the sources of energy (fuses, power supply, and ground connections) to the MFA armrest.
Software: Check the compatibility of program versions, settings, and calibration on the A100 module.
Repair steps
Isolate the Switch
Locate the Sequence 2 contact switch (S187) on the multifunction armrest.
Test the Switch
Using a multimeter, test the S187 switch for proper continuity and resistance when pressed and released. If the switch shows an open circuit when closed or high resistance, it is faulty and must be replaced.
Inspect the Harness
If the switch tests good, trace the wiring harness from the S187 switch to the MFA (A100) module board. Look for pinched wires, chafing, or loose connector pins. Repair any damaged wiring.
Verify Module Power
Ensure the MFA (A100) module is receiving proper operating voltage and has a clean ground.
Replace Components
If the wiring is intact and the switch is functional, the internal circuitry of the MFA (A100) armrest multifunction module may have failed. Replace the S187 switch or the A100 module as dictated by the testing results.
Calibrate and Clear
After replacing the faulty component, clear the fault codes using the CLAAS Diagnostic System (CDS) and verify that the CLAAS Sequence Management system is active again.
