CLAAS Id7580h / 7580h (900) – SFA (A102): The cab suspension compressor is inoperative.
Issue description
The system detects that the cab suspension air compressor fails to operate 100 milliseconds after receiving an activation command from the control module.
Applies to these machines
2 machines- CLAAS Arion series (e.g., 510-640)
- CLAAS Axion series (e.g., 800, 810-850)
Check the cause
Locate the electrical connector for the cab suspension compressor, designated as connector J489
Measure the supply voltage between terminal 1 (+AVC) and terminal 3 (ground) on the J489 connector (must be 12V)
Measure the command signal voltage between terminal 2 (command) and terminal 3 (ground) to ensure the SFA (A102) module is sending the activation signal
Repair steps
Inspect the Harness
Disconnect connector J489 at the compressor. Inspect the pins for corrosion, moisture ingress, or physical damage.
Perform Electrical Tests
Using a multimeter, perform the voltage and command checks outlined above.
Address Wiring Issues
If you do not have 12V at terminal 1 or the command signal is missing at terminal 2, trace the wiring harness back to the SFA (A102) module. Repair any broken wires, shorts to ground, and verify the integrity of the associated fuses/relays.
Replace the Compressor
If the connector receives the correct 12V supply and the command signal from the SFA module, but the compressor still does not run, the compressor motor has failed internally and must be replaced.
Clear and Test
After repairing the wiring or installing a new compressor, clear the fault codes from the SFA module and cycle the cab suspension system to verify the compressor activates properly.
