CLAAS Id7581h / 7581h (901) – SFA (A102): Compressor wear
Issue description
The cab suspension compressor is running excessively. The system has detected that the number of compressor cycles has increased by 15% within a 1-hour period, warning of premature wear due to overworking.
Applies to these machines
2 machines- Arion (500/600 series)
- Axion (800 series)
Check the cause
Inspect all air lines, pneumatic hoses, and fittings for leaks (most common cause of overworking)
Inspect solenoid valves for sticking or leaking, and check cab air cylinders/bags for tears or leaks
Check connectors and continuity of the harnesses linking the SFA (A102) module to the compressor (Component M046)
Check fuses, power supply, and ground sources for the compressor circuit
Check for short-circuits or open circuits, and verify the compressor's resistance, pressure, temperature, and mechanical condition
Repair steps
Locate and Fix Leaks
If air leaks are found in the hoses, fittings, or air bags, repair or replace the damaged pneumatic components.
Test Compressor Efficiency
Once leaks are resolved, clear the fault code and run the tractor. Monitor the compressor cycle rate.
Replace Compressor (if necessary)
If the pneumatic system is completely sealed but the compressor still struggles to build/maintain pressure (or if it has already suffered mechanical seizing/burnout from overworking), the compressor must be replaced.
Recalibrate
After replacing the compressor or repairing the air lines, check the compatibility of program versions and perform a cab suspension calibration/adjustment if required by the test and measurement files.
Clear Codes
Clear the Id7581h (901) code from the SFA module.
Parts you might need
(1)Cab Suspension Compressor (Electric Air Suspension Compressor)
CCN: M046. Ensure the replacement compressor matches the voltage and mounting bracket for the specific Arion or Axion cab suspension system.
