CLAAS Id75C0h / 75C0h (301) – TR1 (A57-1) Transmission Module: Inconsistent current measurements obtained on the forward gear solenoid valve

Issue description

A different current value is being received from each of the two measuring points on the return circuit. When this fault is active, the transmission's "Auto 5" system defaults to working with an estimated current rather than the actual measured current.

Applies to these machines

  • CLAAS Axion 800 Series
  • CLAAS Axion 810
  • CLAAS Axion 850
  • CLAAS Arion 600 Series
  • CLAAS Arion 610
  • CLAAS Arion 630
  • CLAAS Arion 640
  • CLAAS Arion 400 Series
  • CLAAS Arion 420

Check the cause

  1. Test the 'Auto 5' module using CLAAS diagnostic tool n° 60 05 033 249

  2. Check the connectors and the continuity of the wiring harnesses linking the forward gear solenoid valve to the TR1 module

  3. Check for any short-circuits (especially a 12V short on the solenoid valve power supply harness) or open circuits

  4. Measure the resistance of the forward gear solenoid valve winding

  5. Check the sources of energy, including fuses, battery supply voltage, and ground connections

Repair steps

  1. Preparation

Ensure the tractor is turned off and secure. Locate the TR1 (A57-1) transmission module and the forward gear solenoid valve (identified in CLAAS schematics as component Y327 - Proportional forward gear solenoid valve).

  2. Module Testing

Connect CLAAS diagnostic tool n° 60 05 033 249 to evaluate the "Auto 5" module's integrity. If the tool indicates a module failure, the "Auto 5" module must be replaced.

  3. Wiring Inspection

Disconnect the harness at the Y327 solenoid valve and the TR1 module. Inspect the pins for corrosion or damage. Use a multimeter to test the harness for continuity end-to-end, and check for shorts to ground or 12V power. Repair or replace the harness if resistance or shorts are found.

  4. Solenoid Winding Test

Measure the internal resistance of the Y327 forward gear solenoid valve winding using a multimeter. If the resistance is out of specification (indicating an internal short or open winding), the valve is faulty.

  5. Replacement

Replace the forward gear solenoid valve (Y327) or the "Auto 5" module depending on which component failed the tests.

  6. Clear Codes

Reconnect all harnesses, power on the machine, and clear the fault codes from the Cebis terminal / TR1 memory. Test drive to ensure the transmission shifts into forward gear smoothly without logging the 301 code.

Parts you might need

(3)
  • Proportional Forward Gear Solenoid Valve (PSVF) / Y327

Specific 10-digit CLAAS part numbers are not published in the diagnostic manuals, but it must be ordered via the Y327 component designation for the specific transmission variant.

  • "Auto 5" Module

Replace only if condemned by testing with tool n° 60 05 033 249.

  • Diagnostic Tool

    60 05 033 249

Required for testing the Auto 5 module.
