CLAAS Id75D0h / 75D0h (317) – TR1 (A57-1): Accelerator Pedal Sensor Signal Voltage Out of Range

Issue description

The signal voltage provided by the accelerator pedal sensor is out of its acceptable operating range (falling below 0.3 V or exceeding 4.8 V), which forces the engine to remain at idle speed as a safety precaution and renders the Hexactiv shifting function inactive.

Applies to these machines

  • Axion
  • Axion 850
  • Axion 900 series
  • Arion
  • Arion 500
  • Arion 600
  • Arion 640

Check the cause

  1. Check the mechanical assembly of the accelerator pedal for any play in the coupling between the sensor and the pedal

  2. Switch on the ignition and use a voltmeter to measure the voltage between pins 1 and 3 on connector A4/4

  3. Evaluate the voltage: if it exceeds 4.9 V regardless of pedal position, suspect a wiring issue or internal VDC fault

  4. Inspect the wiring harness for physical damage, specifically looking for a short-circuit to ground

Repair steps

  1. Adjust the Pedal

Attempt to adjust the mechanical assembly of the accelerator pedal to eliminate any play and bring the sensor's signal voltage back within the acceptable 0.3 V to 4.8 V threshold.

  2. Repair Wiring

If the voltage test reveals a short circuit or damaged wiring between the sensor and the TR1 module, repair the affected harness sections.

  3. Replace the Sensor

If mechanical adjustment is not possible, the sensor has internal play, or the sensor fails to output the correct voltage despite intact wiring, replace the accelerator pedal sensor/assembly.

  4. Verify Repair

Turn on the ignition, clear the fault codes, and test the pedal to ensure the engine can now accelerate past idle speed and that the Hexactiv function is restored.

Parts you might need

(2)
  • Accelerator Pedal Sensor / Accelerator Throttle Pedal Assembly
