CLAAS Id75E0h / 75E0h (333) – TR1 (A57-1) Transmission Module: Short circuit or open circuit on range B solenoid valve (SVB)

Issue description

The transmission control system has detected an electrical fault (either a broken connection/open circuit or a short to ground/power) in the circuit controlling the solenoid responsible for engaging Range B in the transmission.

Check the cause

  1. Inspect the robotized range B solenoid valve (SVB), identified by CLAAS Component Number (CCN) Y339-2

  2. Check the connectors and the continuity of the wiring harnesses linking the TR1 module to the Y339-2 solenoid

  3. Check for any short-circuits (to ground or 12V) or open circuits in the harness

  4. Measure the internal resistance of the solenoid coil to confirm it is not internally shorted or open

  5. Check the "Auto 5" transmission module using CLAAS diagnostic tool/unit n° 60 05 033 249

Repair steps

  1. Visual Inspection

Locate the range B solenoid valve (Y339-2) on the transmission valve block. Disconnect its electrical connector and inspect the pins for corrosion, moisture, or physical damage.

  2. Test the Solenoid (Y339-2)

Using a multimeter, measure the resistance across the pins of the solenoid coil. If the resistance is out of specification (indicating an open coil or an internal short), the solenoid valve must be replaced.

  3. Test the Wiring Harness

Disconnect the harness at the TR1 (A57-1) transmission module and at the solenoid. Perform a continuity test on the wires. Test for shorts to ground and shorts to power. Repair or replace the wiring harness if any breaks or shorts are found.

  4. Test/Replace the Auto 5 Module

If the solenoid and wiring harness are both in good working order, the fault likely lies within the transmission control unit itself. Use the specified CLAAS diagnostic tool (60 05 033 249) to test the "Auto 5" module. If the module is internally faulty and cannot send the correct PWM signal to the solenoid, it must be replaced.
